I gathered small treasures along the way: a curled stick, a soft feather, sunshine mimosa glowing in the grass, and a magnolia blossom just beginning to fade. Its beauty, even in change, felt like a reminder that transformation doesn’t diminish us — it reshapes us.
Further along the path, I passed a tree struck by lightning. Its trunk had split open, revealing the most stunning rust-colored heartwood inside. A sudden disruption… and something unexpectedly beautiful uncovered.
This painting grew from those moments.
