Holding Space – Original Portal Painting
One of my earliest portal paintings, Holding Space carries a quiet, magical energy that invites the imagination to explore.
Layered in autumn tones with subtle gold glows rising from the portal, it contains hidden hearts, delicate vines, and a pine tree that seems to grow from the edge. At the center, a small sailboat drifts toward a soft, glowing horizon — a visual meditation on being carried gently, even through uncertainty.
The portal itself swirls and hums with layered textures, allowing each viewer to find their own symbols and meaning within the details. It is both dreamy and mysterious, like drifting through an enchanted forest where every glance reveals something new.
Created on 6" x 9" - 140 lb. Watercolor, this paper is smooth almost porcelein feel. This original work is layered with watercolors and fine art acrylic inks. It is sealed with archival varnish, signed at the bottom, and ready to frame.
